Job description
Be our customers' trusted technical advisor, developing a deep knowledge of their systems and needs, ensuring the Oracle solution is and remains optimal. Application Architects devise and govern the implementation architecture of some of the most complex Oracle Application deployments. Once deployed, the Application Architect advises and assists customers' continuing innovation and return on investment.
You will
- Communicate clearly and effectively through all mediums, guiding projects to the best outcomes;
- Act as technical governance on customer projects for product upgrades and migrations to alternative platforms, including Cloud technology;
- Assure the stability, availability, and performance of critical production applications majoring on Siebel CRM and eBusiness Suite;
- Devise the Oracle Application deployment approach to work well with Cloud technology, such as containers, advanced networking and DevOps;
- Provide problem-solving expertise and advice while considering customer constraints, risk management and ongoing ownership;
- Work with application Product Management and Engineering teams to resolve difficult problems and improve the product;
- Educate customers on product features, best practices, upgrades and technology advances.
Requirements
- Siebel and eBusiness Suite architectures; production support and/or DBA experience an advantage;
- Proven written communication skills including documentation and diagrams;
- Siebel CRM and/or EBS on Linux/Windows, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure or other cloud provider, Oracle or other support databases;
- Troubleshooting, monitoring and tuning the Java VM, knowledge of JDK;
- Practical knowledge of Linux containers, Kubernetes, Python, Git or related technology;
- Understanding of DevOps and GitOps;
- Platform migrations and upgrade experience.
- Must be willing to undertake the UK Government Security Vetting process.
