Job description

Our client - a global leader in advanced industrial technologies - is seeking an experienced professional to support a strategic hardware development initiative based in Zug.

This is a temporary engagement running from 01 April 2026 to 30 September 2026 (Extension possible into FY27), designed for a professional with strong PCB layout expertise who thrives in interdisciplinary environments.

The position requires a 100% on-site presence, working closely with multiple engineering teams to develop, validate, and document complex electronic components

Your Responsibilities

PCB Layout Development

  • Development of PCB layouts according to engineering specifications
  • Selection of PCB technologies and definition of PCB stack-ups
  • Component placement with consideration for EMC and manufacturability

Documentation & Manufacturing

  • Preparation of manufacturing data and related documentation
  • Ensuring compatibility with industrialization and production processes
  • Managing documentation in PLM systems

Prototype Measurement & Testing

  • Conducting measurements on electronic prototypes
  • Building test setups and preparing detailed measurement reports

Technical Coordination

  • Collaboration with mechanical, electronic, and production engineering teams
  • Ensuring adherence to project requirements and quality standards

Requirements

PCB Design & Layout

  • Development of PCB layouts in alignment with mechanical, electronic, industrialization, and production teams
  • Selection of appropriate PCB technologies and creation of PCB stack-ups
  • Component placement with a strong focus on EMC considerations
  • Ensuring Design-for-Manufacturing (DfM) compliance

Tools & Documentation

  • Experience with ECAD system Xpedition
  • Creation of PCB documentation, manufacturing files, and PLM data management

Prototype Testing

  • Performing measurements on electronic prototypes
  • Setting up test environments and preparing measurement reports

Foundational Knowledge

  • Strong knowledge in electronics, electrical engineering, EMC, and electronic components
  • Excellent German and good English skills (spoken/written)
