The Airspace Customer Definition Centre (CDC) in Hamburg is a world-class location where airlines and leasing companies can explore any conceivable cabin interior option for their new Airbus aircraft. Your tasks and responsibilities

As an early career Data & Digitalisation Engineer (d/f/m), you will be instrumental in leveraging data science and IT expertise to enhance the efficiency, insight, and presentation capabilities of the CDC.

  • Digitalisation of Customer Experience: Develop and implement digital solutions (e.g., interactive dashboards, data visualisation tools) to improve how customers explore and define their aircraft cabin interiors.

  • Data Structuring and Management: Support the definition and implementation of a robust data architecture for the CDC, ensuring data quality, accessibility, and structured storage for all configuration options, customer preferences, and mock-up data.

  • Analytics and AI Implementation: Apply data science and machine learning techniques (e.g., predictive modelling, recommendation systems) to extract valuable insights from customer definition data, optimising the CDC's offering and process.

  • Programming and Tool Development: Develop, test, and maintain internal tools and scripts (e.g., in Python, Javascript, or equivalent) to automate reporting, data analysis, and preparation of customer-specific digital assets.

  • Support Digital Infrastructure: Work closely with the IT team to maintain and evolve the digital backbone supporting the CDC's operations, including data pipelines and cloud environments.

  • Contribute to Innovation: Proactively identify and propose new technologies (e.g., AR/VR integration, advanced display technologies) to continuously improve the Customer Definition journey..

  • Technical Expertise (essential):
  • Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, C-sharp).
  • Solid understanding of data structuring, database management (SQL/NoSQL), and data warehousing concepts.
  • Familiarity with data science methodologies, statistical analysis, and machine learning principles.
  • Digital Skills (desirable): Experience with data visualisation tools, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP), and version control systems (Git or SSM). Knowledge of Google Cloud products would be a plus.
  • Character: A curious, energetic, and autonomous team player with a passion for innovation and continuous learning.
