Job description

The Senior Cyber Response Analyst role conducts threat hunting, develops defensive signatures, performs initial malware and forensic analysis, and produces required cyber reports to maintain readiness and accreditation., The Senior Cyber Response Analyst performs 24/7 cyber event triage, network security monitoring, initial incident response, forensic analysis, and cyber threat detection across U.S. Army Network and Cyber Operations supported networks. This role supports Defensive Cyberspace Operations-Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM) and cybersecurity service provider (CSSP) functions to identify, contain, and mitigate cyber threats in real time. Requirements

Do you have experience in Cybersecurity?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor of Science/Arts Degree in Engineering or Computer Science OR

Associate's degree plus seven (7) years of specialized experience

Experience

Monitoring intrusion detection and security information management systems to detect malicious and/or anomalous activity.

Triaging and evaluating the detected events to determine if an incident occurred. Experience in performing technical malware or forensic analysis on hard disk drives, solid state drives, other media, PCAP, and network logs relating to malicious or anomalous activity.

Ability to analyze data, such as logs or packet captures, from various sources within the enterprise and draw conclusions regarding past and future security incidents.

Coordinating responses to incidents with both technical and non-technical parties.

Knowledge of hacker techniques (TTPs) and exploits, including current security threat landscape.

Ability to articulate investigative findings to both technical and non-technical audiences

Certification

Cisco CyberOps Professional,

Global Information Assurance Certificate (GIAC)

Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA),

GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH),

GIAC Certified Forensic Examiner (GCFE),

GIAC Network Forensic Analyst (GNFA),

GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware

(GREM), Blue Team Level 2,

Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or, While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle, feel, touch; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
