Job description
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, and student-centered UX/UI Instructor (f/m/d) with a strong growth mindset to join our team. If you are passionate about user-centered design, enjoy mentoring learners from diverse backgrounds, and want to continuously improve how modern design education is delivered, we would love to meet you. Your key-responsibilities would be (but not limited to):
- Guide and support cohorts of UX/UI students throughout their learning journey, providing structure, clarity, motivation, and constructive feedback.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons, workshops, and live sessions covering UX, UI, and product design fundamentals.
- Support students in applying design thinking, user research, and prototyping methods to real-world projects.
- Review student work, portfolios, and project outcomes, providing actionable and empathetic feedback.
- Conduct 1:1 mentoring sessions to support individual learning goals and professional development.
- Collect and reflect on student feedback and learning data to continuously improve course quality and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with other instructors, program management, and career services to ensure a holistic learning experience.
Requirements
Do you have experience in User research?, * Strong hands-on experience in UX/UI and product design, including user research, interaction design, information architecture, and visual design.
- A deep understanding of Figma for conducting workshops and effectively troubleshooting student projects.
- Proven ability to teach, mentor, and clearly communicate complex design concepts to learners with diverse educational and professional backgrounds. A prior experience in education, coaching, or mentoring (formal or informal) would give you an edge.
- Solid understanding of user-centered design processes, accessibility, and usability principles.
- A learner-focused, empathetic mindset with a strong sense of responsibility for student success, combined with the resilience and patience needed to support learners through challenging phases of their learning journey.
- Native-level or minimum C1 level English speaker.
Good to have:
- Familiarity with design systems, handoff processes, and collaboration with engineering teams.
- Experience reviewing or building UX/UI portfolios and preparing designers for the job market.
- Interest in emerging topics such as AI-assisted design tools or data-informed design decisions.
