Job description

Requirements

  • Educated to degree level in business management or equivalent knowledge and demonstrable experience
  • Post graduate expertise within a business management / operational management or health service area that demonstrates the required expert breadth of knowledge required to lead safely, effectively and efficiently
  • Further education/evidence of Continuous Professional Development
  • Effective leadership skills to enable the day to day management of service delivery and demonstrate the ability to motivate others and work using own initiative
  • Line management experience and the ability to management effectively
  • Knowledge of planning, operational processes and systems
  • The post holder will possess excellent team-working and have the ability to motivate and influence others and work using own initiative.
  • Excellent listening, communication and interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.

A driving licence is required, this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence., * Management experience within health care setting - Including experience of managing a large team of admin & clerical staff.

  • Highly specialist knowledge of treatment time guarantee legislation and referral to treatment targets
  • Excellent knowledge of electronic patient management systems (clinical portal and TRAK).
  • Knowledge of relevant surgical specialities
  • In depth knowledge of medical equipment
  • Knowledge of performance monitoring and reporting systems (e.g. MILAN)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with patients and other healthcare professionals
  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to manage & lead a team of administrative & clerical staff.
  • Proven leadership qualities with evidence of managing effectively through periods of significant change.
