Job description
Immediate requirement for an experienced Enterprise Data / BI Developer to support business-critical data platforms for a large organisation based in Nottingham. This is a hands-on, delivery-focused contract role working across databases, data pipelines and Power BI reporting.
The Role
- Design, build and optimise enterprise databases and data solutions
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports and data models
- Build and manage ETL pipelines, integrating multiple data sources
- Write and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures and scripts
- Maintain data pipelines, refresh schedules and Power BI gateways
- Automate data workflows using Python / scripting
- Support database performance, security, backups and availability
The Person
- Strong SQL expertise (SQL Server / PostgreSQL / Oracle)
- Proven Power BI experience (reports, dashboards, data models)
- Experience building and supporting ETL / data pipelines
- Scripting experience (Python / PowerShell / Bash)
- Solid understanding of database performance tuning & optimisation
- Able to start immediately and work in a fast-paced environment, Data Developer, Enterprise Developer, Power BI Developer, SQL Developer, ETL, Data Engineer, Python, BI Developer, Database Developer, Inside IR35, Nottingham
