Job description
- Build, maintain, and support AWS-based infrastructure for cloud-based products.
- Work on existing cloud architecture, improving features and ensuring platform robustness and reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, software developers, and testers to integrate new services seamlessly.
- Utilize IaC and automated workflows for efficient deployment in multiple environments.
- Mentor junior team members and facilitate concise documentation of processes.

Requirements
- Demonstrable experience with AWS within a software engineering company including experience in software product releases, automation and deployment.
- Ability to coach and mentor junior members of the Cloud Engineering team, providing advice and solutions to complex Cloud-related problems.
- Background in software engineering to communicate effectively with both development teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable providing on-call support, typically 1 week in 4.
- Extensive use of AWS and related cloud services (S3, SQS).
- Experience with serverless containerization (Lambda, Docker) and network security (subnets, VPC).
- Proficient in database management (PostgreSQL) and automation scripting (Bash, Python).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), cloud monitoring and alarms (Cloudwatch, AWS Health Dashboard), and CI/CD practices.
