In this role you will be part of the IT Competence Center "HR & Legal" which is managing the full lifecycle of global HR and Legal applications at GEA to drive operational excellence, compliance and continuous improvement.

To give you a better picture of the activities we have listed them below. Have a look!

  • Act as a principal subject matter expert for HR & Legal software integrations (esp. Workday Integrations) owning solution design, configuration, testing, deployment, and governance.
  • Develop and maintain integrations using tools such as EIB, Core Connector, Studio and Document Transformation.
  • Level 3 support on Functional topics such as Core HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Absence, Security etc.,
  • Configure Manage, and Audit Workday security, including SSO (Single Sign-On).
  • Participate in Workday's bi-annual release cycles (March and September) to ensure smooth adoption of new features and compliance updates.
  • Support implementation and optimization of Workday AI and Machine Learning features
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, IT, Finance) and external vendors to deliver integration solutions.
  • Collaborate with HR and Legal teams to work/integrate applications such as OneTrust and local payroll systems, etc. and to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Maintain technical documentation and adhere to integration standards.
  • Utilize Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence for ticketing, project tracking and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and optimize performance.
  • Ensure compliance with data security and privacy standards.

Requirements

Do you have experience in XSLT?, * Workday Integration Certification (required) with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Workday Studio.

  • Proven ability to design workflows and solve complex business and technical challenges, including building advanced calculated fields.
  • Strong proficiency in XML, XSLT, JSON, and web services (REST/SOAP), with working knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE).
  • Experience using tools such as Notepad++, Oxygen XML, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Experience in auditing, compliance, and security management within Workday and other HR & Legal platforms.
  • Willingness to work with additional HR & Legal applications (e.g., OneTrust, local payroll systems).
  • Proficiency in Jira, ServiceNow, and Confluence, or similar ticketing and collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with agile project management and project management tools
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English (mandatory).

Nice to Have:

  • Understanding of Workday functional modules such as Core HCM, Business Process, Recruiting, Compensation, Absence, etc.,
  • Knowledge of WECI (Workday Enterprise Interface) and PECI (Payroll Effective Change Interface) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with Workday Orchestrate and Workday Extend is an advantage.
