Job description
Develop automation strategies aligned with project needs and testing leadership.
Define and maintain the automation system processes (tools, methodologies, standards, best practices).
Development & Industrialization
Build and maintain reusable libraries (API for VSDs, communication protocols, safety simulators).
Develop robust data management strategies for test parameters and scenarios.
Design scalable and modular test frameworks in coordination with project test leaders.
Lead POCs on AI, next-gen tools, and architecture evolutions for automation.
CI/CD Integration & Stability
Integrate toolchains (Jenkins, Git, JAMA, Docker).
Stabilize and optimize CI/CD pipelines (reduce flaky tests, manage retries, timing determinism).
Ensure traceability of requirements and compliance (functional safety, cybersecurity, reliability).
Coordination & Leadership
Coordinate international teams across various Schneider Electric sites.
Support automation team skill development and share knowledge across sites.
Promote automation best practices internally and externally.
Drive technical activities around test systems architecture and lab improvement.
Project Management & Prioritization
Work closely with PTLs to prioritize initiatives and manage the test automation backlog.
Report progress, risks, and key decisions to stakeholders.
Requirements
️ Required Technical Skills
Strong experience with PLC programming - mandatory
Fluency in Python (Robot Framework, PyTest) - mandatory
Expertise in field communication protocols: PROFINET, Ethernet/IP, Fieldbus
CI/CD pipeline integration (Jenkins, GitLab), test tools (TestStand, Docker)
Embedded systems testing and real-time software understanding
Agile/Scrum methodology, PEP standards, and industrial software development best practices
High-level written and spoken English (B2 minimum required) for global communication, Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Electronics, Automation or Embedded Systems
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience (internships not sufficient)
Hands-on experience with real industrial hardware in test/validation contexts
