Job description

  • Lead the integration of various subsystems (hardware and software) into cohesive flight simulation systems.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to design and implement integration procedures.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues, identify root causes, and develop solutions for seamless system performance.
  • Maintain and optimize system configurations for improved operational efficiency.
  • Define and execute test plans to verify system performance, functionality, and safety.
  • Ensure all systems meet regulatory standards and performance metrics for certification.
  • Create and conduct test procedures to validate flight simulation systems.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers during the acceptance phase.
  • Conduct customer-specific system tests and demonstrations for system readiness.
  • Provide technical support and training for ongoing system maintenance.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in system integration, hardware/software interfaces, and performance testing.
  • Ability with simulation software tools, modelling languages, and simulation platforms (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, RTOS).
  • Familiarity with industry standards and certifications (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254).
  • Strong troubleshooting ability, root cause analysis, and system diagnostics.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on resolving complex systems issues under tight deadlines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of flight simulation systems such as FFS (Full Flight Simulators) or FTD (Flight Training Devices) is desirable.
  • Prior experience working directly with customers during system acceptance testing is highly desirable.
  • Certification or training in INCOSE Systems Engineering practices is a plus.
  • Exposure to agile or hybrid development methodologies is beneficial.
