Job description
Our team focuses on the end to end lifecycle for partners on our platform, and supports customers and partners in their moments of need. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will transform raw data into clean, logical structures optimised for analysis and decision-making. You will work closely with Product Analysts, Data Engineers, and Product Managers to ensure data is actionable for product development, behavioral analysis, and operational efficiency., * Provide clean, transformed data ready for analysis by designing and building scalable data models (using Kimball or Inmon techniques) within our data warehouse.
- Partner closely with Product Analysts to understand their data requirements for tracking user behavior, measuring KPIs, and designing experiment (A/B testing) frameworks.
- Apply software engineering best practices to analytics code, including version control (Git), testing, and CI/CD for models built with dbt and SQL.
- Create and maintain reliable data workflows and pipelines using modern tools like Airflow and dbt.
- Connect data models to visualisation platforms like Tableau or Looker, ensuring a "single source of truth" and support with maintaining a high-quality and well-governed semantic layer for use in analyst-owned data products.
- Maintain comprehensive data documentation and definitions to ensure metrics are consistent and well-understood across the Customer & Partner Care pillar.
- Contribute to shared tools and engineering standards within the wider JET data community.
Requirements
- Proven experience in an Analytics Engineering or Data Engineering role, ideally within a fast-paced digital product environment.
- Advanced SQL skills and hands-on experience applying data modelling techniques to complex, real-world data problems.
- Production experience with dbt for transformation and Airflow for orchestration, building and maintaining production-level ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python for building data pipelines, scripting and automation.
- Proficiency in cloud data warehousing platforms, such as Google BigQuery or similar.
- A strong grasp of software engineering principles, including version control (Git) and automated testing methodologies in a data environment.
- A logical thinker with keen attention to detail and a sound understanding of relational data models.
- A collaborative mindset, eager to share knowledge and explain technical data concepts clearly to both technical peers (Analysts) and non-technical stakeholders.
