Job description

You'll work with innovative technology, receive training in specialist compressor systems, and contribute directly to reducing environmental impact across the UK's transportation sector., We are seeking a highly capable Data Analyst with strong technical capability across data automation, system integrations, and modern reporting tools. This role is ideal for someone with excellent analytical skills, deep Excel expertise, and hands-on experience building automated reporting solutions in Power BI and other data platforms.

You will take ownership of our data landscape, improving data quality, building dashboards, developing automated pipelines, managing data flows into our data lake, and ensuring stakeholders have accurate, timely, and reliable insights to support strategic decision-making., Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyse operational and financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities.
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to management to support key business decisions.
  • Maintain high levels of data quality across reporting streams.

Reporting, Dashboards & Data Automation

  • Manage and optimise existing Excel-based reporting processes.
  • Lead the creation of automated Power BI reporting suites and dashboards.
  • Develop data models and automated datasets using Power BI, Power Query, and SQL.
  • Set up and maintain task schedulers or automated refresh processes to ensure reporting accuracy and timeliness.
  • Automate manual reporting tasks where possible to improve efficiency.

Data Lake & System Integration

  • Support and manage data pipelines flowing into the company's data lake or central data repository.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless system integrations.
  • Use and manage API keys for connecting data sources, retrieving datasets, and enabling automated data flows.
  • Work with Microsoft Dynamics & 365 to extract, transform, and analyse relevant datasets.

Process Optimisation & Project Support

  • Review, improve, and document data processes across the business.
  • Provide data-driven support on business and system projects.
  • Ensure processes remain compliant with business, audit, and regulatory requirements.

· Carry out any other reasonable duties within the scope of the role, as required by the business.

Requirements

Do you have a valid Driving Licence license?, Do you have experience in SQL?, Technical Skills

  • Advanced Excel skills (including modelling, Power Query, complex formulas).
  • Strong Power BI experience: data modelling, DAX, visualisation, automated refresh pipelines.
  • Experience working with data lakes or large central data repositories.
  • SQL experience (querying, joining tables, stored procedures advantageous).
  • Experience with task schedulers (e.g., Windows Task Scheduler, cloud-based schedulers, Power Automate flows).
  • Strong understanding of API keys, authenticated connections, and data integration via APIs.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics & 365.
  • Skilled in data cleansing, transformation, and validation.

Business Skills

  • Ability to create reporting and insights suitable for senior leadership and shareholders.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a support or coordination role.
  • Strong understanding of business operations, processes, and KPIs.

Other Requirements

  • Able to travel to the WN3 6GL office 3 days per week.
