Job description

  • Provide guidance and accountability for the technical delivery of self and team members.
  • Utilize development experience to produce high-quality technical products that meet application system demands.
  • Ensure all development activities are performed to agreed quality standards and timelines, escalating issues to relevant managers as necessary.
  • Prioritize personal development workload based on project delivery dates and priorities.
  • Implement best practices in support of external and internal project initiatives.
  • Participate in Sprint-based development activities and support associated rituals.
  • Collaborate with TXP and clients to meet business commitments.
  • Contribute to the development of policies, standards, and guidelines for IT within the enterprise.
  • Maintain excellent relationships and communication with customers and key TXP contacts.
  • Work with partners and suppliers to optimize delivery methods.
  • Mentor junior staff and contractors, supporting the internal appraisal process.
  • Foster employee knowledge and skills in specific areas of expertise.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Java technologies, including Java 1.6 and Java 1.8.
  • In-depth knowledge of REST APIs, Spring 3, and Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Good knowledge of React or other JavaScript frameworks.
  • Familiarity with microservices, deployment tooling (e.g., Maven), and containerization technologies (e.g., Kubernetes or Docker).
  • Experience in Scrum-based methodologies, including Sprint planning and rituals.
  • Proficient in Unit Testing with JUnit and Mockito, as well as Test-Driven Development and Continuous Integration approaches.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles and deployment.
  • Ability to see how parts interact within the big picture (systems thinking).
  • Familiarity with various business verticals served by TXPs clients.
  • Experience in quality control of software solutions and application developments.
  • Desirable knowledge in areas like technical architectures, SOA, CBD, Agile methodologies, cloud technologies (Azure/AWS), and Linux/bash.
