Job description
- Lead the ongoing development and support of a mission-critical application hosted on both a secure cloud platform (AWS) and managed on-premises environments.
- Design, develop, integrate, and unit test new features based on priorities from the Product Owner and client feedback.
- Monitor and troubleshoot the application to address bugs and issues as they arise in the live environment.
- Contribute to design discussions and conduct code reviews while maintaining thorough documentation in Confluence.

- SQL, We are offering a 6-month hybrid role with the flexibility to work remotely, requiring you to be on-site in London or Bristol one to three days a month. The role is compensated at £750 per day. You will be working within an agile digital delivery team, contributing to the development and support of a live application crucial for our UK client. Ideal candidates will have experience with various technologies including PostgreSQL, JavaScript, GoLang, and Python, as well as infrastructure and cloud knowledge such as AWS and Kubernetes. This position requires SC clearance and involves occasional travel to client sites, approximately 1-2 times per month to London or the South/South-East.
Requirements
- Proficiency in TypeScript and React for both backend and frontend development.
- Experience with microservices architecture using Node.js and the ability to lead the development of microservices and front-end components.
- Familiarity with Hasura GraphQL Engine, including setting up permissions, computed fields, and API integrations.
- Strong skills in designing and implementing PostgreSQL schemas, migrations, and triggers while ensuring data integrity and performance.
- Experience integrating with Identity and Access Management (IdAM) systems.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and adherence to platform security standards.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with UX, QA, and DevSecOps teams to deliver accessible, high-performing, and maintainable features.
- Familiarity with tools such as Jira for task management, Confluence for documentation, and Slack for collaboration.
