Job description
At Ometa, we develop solutions that help organizations gain control over complex information flows. For more than twenty years, we have been connecting mission-critical systems and ensuring that data is available at the right time and in the right place. Our technology forms the silent engine behind processes that must run smoothly day in and day out-regardless of scale or complexity. To realize our ambitions, we are looking for a .NET Architect who is not only technically strong but also provides direction. Someone who maintains oversight, thinks ahead, and collaborates with the team to build a future-proof platform. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make an impact at a strategic level and play a key part in the ongoing evolution of our Ometa Framework., The Ometa Framework is not a standard application; it is a high-speed integration engine. We connect complex ERP systems, portals, and external APIs through a fully event-driven design. Your mission? Rebuild the framework into a system that can effortlessly handle millions of requests with minimal latency. Whether it's pushing data to a portal in real time or triggering critical service orders in an ERP, you will ensure the architecture is robust, secure, and extremely scalable., * Architectural Vision Design and oversee the blueprint for a multi-tenant system capable of processing millions of events per second.
-
Event-Driven Mastery Optimize our Kafka implementation for maximum throughput, reliability, and guaranteed delivery.
-
Performance Engineering Analyze performance traces in detail and systematically eliminate bottlenecks across the pipeline.
-
Security by Design Embed secure coding principles at the core of the framework to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
-
Cloud-Native Orchestration Configure and optimize Docker and Kubernetes environments that scale elastically with traffic peaks., * Message Broker Expert: Kafka holds no secrets for you - topics, partitions, consumer groups, idempotency, and delivery semantics are part of your daily toolkit.

- Theoretical Heavyweight: Concepts like Event Sourcing, CQRS, and backpressure are not only familiar to you, but you can implement them pragmatically and at scale., * You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- You have at least 8 years of experience in a senior software engineering, lead developer, or architect role within complex .NET environments.
- Demonstrable experience designing scalable, high-performance architectures, preferably in event-driven or integration-focused landscapes.
- You communicate clearly and effectively in both Dutch and English, with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- You have a proactive, analytical, and results-driven mindset and are confident making and advocating architectural decisions.
