Job description
We're a full-service digital agency looking to add a Solutions Architect to our solutions team. This role sits between strategy, development, and delivery, helping ensure that what we propose to clients is technically achievable, clearly defined, and set up for successful delivery.
It's a great fit for a developer or technically strong individual who enjoys being involved earlier in projects, working directly with clients, and shaping how solutions are designed before the build begins.
What will you be doing
As a Solutions Architect, you'll help define how client requirements are turned into clear, workable technical solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Understanding client objectives and translating them into clear technical approaches
- Leading or supporting technical discovery and requirement-gathering sessions
- Defining solution architectures that align with requirements, constraints, and budgets
- Producing technical documentation such as specifications, solution diagrams, and integration outlines
- Supporting scoping and estimation by working with development and delivery teams
- Providing technical input during pitches and early project phases
- Identifying technical risks, assumptions, and dependencies early in the process
- Acting as a technical point of reference during the transition from solution design into delivery
Requirements
Do you have experience in WordPress?, We're looking for someone who has:
- A strong technical background, ideally from a development or hands-on technical role
- Experience turning briefs or requirements into clear technical specifications
- An understanding of CMS platforms and how they work (experience with WordPress and/or Umbraco is a bonus)
- Confidence in reading and interpreting technical documentation, including APIs
- Experience running or supporting discovery and requirement-gathering workshops
- The ability to explain technical decisions clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
It would be great if you also have experience in:
- Supporting pre-sales activity, pitches, or proposals
- Working in an agency or consultancy environment
You'll be comfortable taking ownership of your work, communicating clearly, and contributing positively to discussions and workshops. You should be curious, pragmatic, and interested in continuing to develop both your technical and client-facing skills.
Location & working pattern
This role is based in Cardiff with a hybrid working arrangement. You'll be expected to be within a commutable distance of the office and spend at least two days per week onsite, working closely with the wider team.

- A team player - looking to make a positive difference to our culture and ways of working
- A fast learner - comfortable picking things up quickly and tackling new challenges
- Driven and proactive - always looking for ways to improve output, quality, and processes
