Job description

The University Finance Office has a vacancy in its dynamic and busy SAP Team for a Senior SAP Functional and Business Analyst.

This opportunity sits within the SAP and Finance Systems Team and is responsible for acting as an expert SAP Functional and Business Analyst.

You will play a leading role in analysing, documenting and recommending solutions and development needs for their areas of functional expertise to address user and institutional issues, deliver new functionality (including functional specification and functional configuration) and support existing/new/changed processes.

Showing ownership for the varied and evolving functional requirements is key in this role. In this job you will have varied demands on your skill set from a Business-As-Usual and project perspective.

You will work within a friendly, experienced and skilled team of SAP professionals, who all relish a challenge and are determined to deliver the best possible SAP experience to the University's user base.

Reporting into the SAP Core Service Lead, you are expected to work within an agile project delivery framework and regularly provide feedback on the progress of your tasks.

You will be given the opportunity to learn and enhance your skills, but also share your findings with your peers.

Flexible Working

  • We will consider applications for employment on a part-time basis (minimum 0.8 FTE). Other flexible working arrangements can be considered (e.g. job share).

Additional Payments

  • A £9,000 market supplement per annum (pro-rata, non-pensionable, and also subject to tax and national insurance contributions) may be applicable to this post.
  • Continuation of this payment, and the amount, is subject to an annual review in line with the University Market Supplement Policy.

Requirements

Do you have experience in SAP?, We are looking for a person who enjoys working with the latest SAP and Finance software and gets the best out of it for the University

You will be proactive, flexible, customer focused and like to work closely with users to understand and resolve issues.

You will enjoy maintaining a deep level of expertise in key areas but also be happy getting involved in other areas that are new to you.

You enjoy the challenge of learning new processes, systems and capabilities and are happy to assist others in the team on a variety of activities.

It is important you can share your knowledge and help develop less experienced members of the team and other system users.

You will want to be part of a small but friendly team that work well together, in an agile, hybrid working scenario.

The role is campus based however staff can opt to work under the Finance Office's current hybrid policy where a maximum of 40% of time (2 days per week for full time staff; normally Tuesdays and Fridays) can be worked remotely.
