Requirements

Working with a small tech4good company in the EV space, with a co-working space in Manchester, I am looking for you -a back-end .NET Developer who is talented, enthusiastic, and curious.

They have 3 engineering teams with around 4-5 developers in each, and split out the back-end and front responsibilities, leaving you to concentrate on just the backend in this role.

You'll be going into their Platform team and will be working with a range of tech, including C#, .Net 8+, APIs (including public APIs, they're moving to a headless platform), Domain Driven Design (DDD), and helping them to move from a monolith to a service-based, distributed architecture that has scalability built in with Azure and various services like service bus and event grid.

You'll need to have a few years of commercial experience with the tech above, be eager to learn as much as you can, and to contribute to a great team. Whilst it's important for you to be a good technical fit, it's just as- if not more- needed for you to have a good, upbeat disposition and self-awareness- knowing what you don't know, being comfortable asking for help if/when you need it, and looking to collaborate and share knowledge to make sure the whole team is pulled in the same direction and share in the team's wins together.

Whilst there are seniors for you to learn from here, please bear in mind that it's a small company, so everyone gets involved. If you thrive best in a well-established and heavily structured environment, this might not be the place for you.

Benefits & conditions

Salary: £50k plus benefits

You think in systems: you naturally see how things should fit together and are great at building the solution, too.

Breaking down a monolith into a service-based, distributed architecture is something you've had experience of doing and understand what 'good' looks like…and what not so good looks like too!

You'd love to move into the tech4good space and put your technical skills to good use by helping us and the planet to be more sustainable.

If this sounds like you, read on- this is the one for you!
