Job description
Responsible for the execution and management of reliability and failure analysis activities across semiconductor devices. Works closely with device design, manufacturing, process development, and quality teams to ensure product reliability, performance, and compliance., * Schedule, monitor, and execute reliability testing according to established test plans
- Prepare samples for reliability testing and maintain traceability for all activities
- Support in-house failure analysis and customer failure investigations
- Contribute to process development, yield improvement, troubleshooting, and problem investigation
- Provide routine analysis of product and process monitors to ensure ongoing compliance
- Generate reliability and failure analysis reports and distribute controlled data
- Monitor performance indicators and activity levels within reliability and failure analysis areas
- Maintain and update a library of failure modes, techniques, and reference product images
- Identify safety hazards in working practices and equipment, implementing improvements where possible
- Maintain equipment and jig performance, including basic maintenance checks
- Ensure documentation is current and reflects standard operating practices
- Seek continuous improvement in methods, techniques, and testing approaches
- Archive completed test samples and data
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a mass production environment
- Experience working with chemicals safely
- Computer literate (Microsoft Office proficiency)
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Flexible, self-motivated, and able to adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness and ability to work a 2-shift pattern (alternating early and late shifts)
Desirable experience:
- Experience in semiconductor device reliability testing and failure analysis
- Knowledge of process monitoring and yield improvement techniques
- Familiarity with regulated or quality-controlled manufacturing environments
Tools & methods:
- Reliability test equipment and associated software
- Failure analysis tools and microscopy
- Standard office software for reporting and documentation
- Process and traceability record systems
