Automation Test Engineer

**Client would also consider the right candidate for permanent employment We are seeking an experienced Automated Test Engineer to design and implement automated testing frameworks for complex systems. You will ensure both functional and non-functional requirements are met, working closely with stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions in a fully remote, agile environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and continuously improve automated testing across all stages of product and service development
• Define, measure and monitor testing standards, proactively identifying risks and implementing preventative automation
• Work closely with engineers, product and delivery teams to ensure effective test coverage and continuous improvement
• Evaluate, introduce and optimise testing tools, frameworks and processes, providing expert guidance on testing strategy
• Champion an automation-first approach, applying industry best practices to deliver scalable and repeatable solutions
• Contribute actively to agile ways of working, including sprint planning and backlog refinement
• Support estimation of new work and help define clear acceptance criteria for user stories
• Mentor and support junior and less-experienced automated test engineers

• Proven experience defining and delivering test strategies within complex, microservices-based environments
• Strong background in automated testing, using a range of programming languages and frameworks
• Solid experience testing backend systems, including API and integration testing
• Expertise in non-functional testing (performance, reliability, scalability, etc.)
• Ability to elicit and refine requirements in collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in agile delivery teams, actively championing agile best practices
