Job description

This role represents a great opportunity for a skilled individual to join a dedicated team of network engineers in supporting and maintaining the trusts network infrastructure. As one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country we are looking for a flexible, well organised and highly motivated individual who can work autonomously or a team and has line management responsibility for a small team to deliver high quality infrastructure services aligned with the trust's digital strategy. The trust has recently completed refreshing it's core network (Nov 2025) and has just commenced a Wireless infrastructure refresh which will be ongoing throughout 2026.

Based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham but support all 4 hospital sites and remote support for community/satellite sites"], The Network Team is responsible for maintaining a resilent, secure and high-performance network infrastructure. Effective and efficient incident, problem and change management is essential and liaising with other trust teams, suppliers and external agencies as required.

Requirements

Advanced experience as a network engineer gained while working in a complex enterprise enviroment is essential for this role.
