Job description
In this role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and evolving our SQL Server landscape across production, QA, and development environments. You'll collaborate with Operations, Support, and Development teams to ensure our databases deliver consistent performance, reliability, and scalability for enterprise clients around the world., * Taking ownership of our databases: production, UAT, QA and development systems.
- Conduct regular health checks and performance tuning: looking at query execution, indexing, locking/blocking, partitioning.
- Working with the team to maintain and improve high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions.
- Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and support teams to improve database-application interaction.
- Manage data migrations and integrations across environments. Setting up and improving CI/CD for database components, where relevant.
Requirements
We're seeking someone who blends database administration expertise with engineering problem-solving skills., * 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production or enterprise/SaaS-style environments.
- Strong skills in T-SQL, query execution plans, indexing strategies, and performance tuning.
- Experience with performance tools/techniques: DMVs, Extended Events, Query Store.
- Familiarity with HA/DR configurations (e.g., Always On, replication, clustering).
- Bonus if you've worked with other database technologies (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch or similar) or used Jira/Confluence in an agile team.
Benefits & conditions
The minimum gross salary for this position is €3.843 per month, as determined by the IT Collective Agreement. The actual salary will be based on your qualifications and experience.
