Job description

A leading digital bank in Spain seeks a Tech Lead to oversee its Database Platform Team. This role involves defining and implementing scalable, secure database solutions while leading a dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate should have substantial architectural experience, expertise in operational storage solutions, and a collaborative spirit to drive innovative projects. Provide technical leadership in cloud infrastructure and operational data storage solutions.
Collaborate with Product Teams for seamless database provisioning.
Mentor team members and promote knowledge sharing.
Own the architecture of the Database Platform.
Lead incident management and preventative architectural improvements.
Implement and own the observability strategy for the platform.

Requirements

Hands-on architectural experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, particularly in AWS.
Proven expertise in operational data storage solutions like PostgreSQL or AmazonRDS.
In-depth knowledge of database internals including performance tuning and backup strategies.
Hands-on experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform.
Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Python.
