A leading international technology firm in Madrid is seeking an experienced individual for a senior engineering leadership role. The successful candidate will define technology vision, act as a strategic partner, and oversee system architecture across products. Requirements include 8+ years of experience, strong technical background, and excellent communication skills. This role offers flexible working hours in a fully remote setup and the potential for significant influence over the company's future., * Define and own long-term technology vision aligned with business goals.

Act as a strategic partner to the CEO and product teams.
Own system architecture across products, data, and infrastructure.
Build, lead and scale high-performing engineering and infrastructure teams.
Establish efficient development processes and improve predictability.
Own security, data protection and infrastructure risk management.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in engineering leadership roles including CTO, VP Engineering or Head of Engineering.
Strong technical background with experience in scalable backend systems and cloud infrastructure.
Proven experience working closely with business leaders and influencing strategy.
Ability to think in terms of ROI, scalability, trade-offs and long-term impact.
Experience building and leading distributed, international engineering teams.
Track record of delivering complex products in high-growth environments.
Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous, fast-moving contexts.
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex ideas simply.
Fluent English (C1).
