Job description
- Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), and network equipment.
- Provide technical support for desktop and server environments, including troubleshooting issues related to Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, VPNs, firewalls, TCP/IP protocols, and LAN/WAN connectivity.
- Assist users with software support issues involving Microsoft Office applications, SCCM, BMC Remedy, ServiceNow, Jira, and other enterprise tools.
- Conduct hardware repairs and upgrades; diagnose and resolve network connectivity problems.
- Support the deployment and management of security measures such as firewalls and VPNs to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical issues efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
- Document all support activities accurately using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
- Analyse system logs and network traffic to identify potential issues or security threats.
- Assist with the configuration of network devices including switches, routers, and wireless access points.

The position involves working on-site, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure., * Proven experience in computer networking, desktop support, or IT support roles.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems including Windows (especially Windows Server), macOS, and Linux distributions.
- Familiarity with Active Directory management, DNS configuration, TCP/IP protocols, LAN/WAN architecture.
- Hands-on experience with firewall configuration, VPN setup, SCCM deployment, BMC Remedy or ServiceNow ticketing systems.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues related to Microsoft Office suite and enterprise applications like Jira.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
- Ability to work independently in the field while maintaining high standards of professionalism.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Fundamentals or similar are advantageous but not essential.
