Job description

Lead delivery of Starburst/Trino projects across Agile, Scrum, and traditional delivery models. Oversee installation, configuration, and performance optimisation of Starburst Enterprise clusters. Architect and manage deployments across cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP). Lead development of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data engineering workflows. Ensure strong security, governance, and data management practices. Provide technical leadership to engineers and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

Hands-on experience with Starburst/Trino setup, tuning, and administration. Strong background in cloud engineering (AWS/Azure/GCP) and Kubernetes. Proven experience managing end-to-end delivery of technical projects. Proficiency in SQL, data lakes, object storage, and distributed query optimisation. Experience with data engineering tools (Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Kafka). Solid understanding of data governance, metadata, and security frameworks.

Preferred Experience with Starburst Galaxy. Cloud certifications (Azure/AWS/GCP). Previous team leadership or mentoring experience.
