Job description
We are seeking a highly motivated Applications Engineer to join our team in Spain. This is a permanent position offering the opportunity to work at the leading edge of technical solution delivery and system integration.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, testing, and optimisation of engineering applications, with a focus on enhancing functionality and performance for demanding engineering applications. Responsibilities / What you will do
- Lead and support the deployment of new software and hardware applications, with emphasis on integration and advanced alloy manufacturing workflows.
- Characterise and optimise application performance (e.g., reliability, user efficiency, thermal performance, and system compatibility).
- Conduct experimental testing and analysis of application feedstocks and integrated systems.
- Collaborate with process engineers and design teams to ensure application performance aligns with end-use applications.
- Develop and maintain technical databases, test standards, and qualification processes for new applications.
- Support R&D projects, contributing to technical reports, publications, and presentations for clients.
- Stay current with emerging applications, technologies, and industry standards in related manufacturing methods.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Manufacturing?, Do you have a Bachelor's degree?, * Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Proven experience in technical applications development or systems engineering within a manufacturing context.
- Strong background in physical and functional characterisation (mechanical, thermal, or system analysis).
- Hands-on experience with testing techniques and validation tools for complex engineering systems.
- Ability to design and execute experiments, interpret data, and draw actionable conclusions for stakeholders.
- Proficiency in technical reporting and the ability to communicate results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of how applications interact with design (DfAM) and material-process behaviors.
- Familiarity with simulation tools (FEA) or engineering software for testing application behavior.
- Experience with quality systems and qualification frameworks, such as aerospace or automotive standards
