PostgreSQL DBA Expert

• Manage standard and non-standard requests from application support teams and developers regarding new requirements or changes to database components.

• Integrate with the agile processes of the development teams within your scope.

• Work closely with infrastructure teams to understand and apply processes and standards

• Be involved in the study concerning the future of infrastructure assets.

• Contribute to the transformation of the company's IT infrastructure, which involves implementing solutions to take advantage of the opportunities offered by new technologies (cloud, infrastructure as code, development).

• Define the appropriate infrastructure components and architecture to be implemented as part of company projects. Advise and suggest innovative solutions, where appropriate.

Will act as the main point of contact for the teams based in Belgium and will be required to travel regularly to Brussels

• PostgreSQL expert

• Level 3 administration of PostgreSQL environments (IaaS & PaaS: Azure PostgreSQL Flexible Server)

• Definition and implementation of operating standards: security, reloads, supervision, disaster recovery plan

• Automation of deployments and operations via Ansible, Git, scripting

• Integration with Azure tools: Bicep, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor

• Participation in the implementation of technical dashboards (Grafana), The main activities are:

• Studying technical solutions to improve or implement infrastructure services

• Comparing several scenarios and making recommendations

• Drafting technical documentation (HLD and LLD design documents)

• Contributing to the construction of infrastructure solutions

• Advising on, proposing, and validating the infrastructure to be instantiated in business projects

• Deploying the proposed infrastructures with the Application Delivery Centers

• Communicating the needs of the Application Delivery Centers to the experts in the relevant areas

• Experience with PostgreSQL on Azure (Flexible Server, PaaS, Azure Monitor supervision)
