• Translate strategic objectives into deliverables, timelines, and priorities; coordinate cross-functional teams; drive platform delivery in partnership with Deloitte;
• Own end-to-end delivery of the Data & AI platform within the Unlock Data program, ensuring all components (cloud, on-prem, hybrid) are implemented on time, secure, and scalable;
• Work closely with business stakeholders, vendors, security, and Deloitte to prioritize features, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment across multiple workstreams;
• Define and implement solution designs, including cloud, on-prem, and hybrid solutions; set standards and best practices;
• Act as technical lead for business and IT stakeholders; ensure security and operational compliance.

We are seeking an Interim Lead Platform Engineer (Data & AI) with strong communication and leadership capabilities, with a penchant for challenging conventional wisdom and advocating for innovative solutions. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in leading enterprise-scale Data & AI initiatives, showcasing the following key skills and qualifications:

• Demonstrated expertise in overseeing large-scale Data & AI platform builds and migration processes;
• Proficient hands-on experience with technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Cloudera, Informatica, Confluent, and Dataiku;
• In-depth knowledge of cloud architectures, particularly Azure, along with a solid background in data engineering and AI/ML infrastructure;
• Proven track record of collaboration with system integrators (such as Deloitte or similar firms) on significant transformation projects;
• Fluency in Dutch is required for this role.

This is an interim position that starts immediately and ends in August 2026, offering a full-time engagement of 40 hours per week. The role offers a competitive maximum rate of €109 euros per hour for freelance/zzp or a salary between € 7500 to € 8500 gross on the basis of 40 hours based on your experience. Ideal for a seasoned professional seeking a dynamic, high-impact role in a modern tech environment. This role is open to both temp contract and freelancers/zzp. This is a hybrid role that requires you to be in the Amsterdam office a few days a week, with Monday and Thursday being fixed office days.
