Job description
- Work collaboratively with the Project Sponsor and stakeholders on complex enterprise IT projects to establish objectives, roadmaps, roles/responsibilities, and visual task backlogs that can be managed through all phases of implementation; ensure that projects support the organization's strategic and operational goals through agile, cost-effective, innovative, reliable, and secure technologies.
- Review business needs, assess impact to operations, recommend policy changes to executives, and implement changes necessary to ensure regulatory compliance and enforcement.
- Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Lead team stand-ups, sprints planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor Sprint Performance: Develop and analyze reports on sprint metrics like velocity, burn rate, etc.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and issues.
- Team Coaching: Mentor team leads
- Work cross functionally to design solutions that empower various business units to manage their work in the most efficient manner, with a primary focus on Jira and Confluence.
- Design and build Jira projects and workflows, focusing on practical and efficient designs.
- Develop, document, and coach others on best practices for Atlassian applications, including project configuration and management.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities into projects and how they are used and managed.
- Design, develop, and facilitate training for new and existing users, as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology)
- 12+ years of project management experience.
- 8+ years of Agile / Scrum management experience.
- 5+ years of experience managing and configuring Atlassian products (Jira, Confluence).
- CSM or Agile certification
- Automobile or product manufacturing industry experience is required.
- Demonstrated work experience and highly proficient in Agile / scrum project management using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Attention to detail and a passion for creating highly impactful projects.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Proficient in Jira, Confluence, Visio, MS Project, Excel
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize work assignments.
- Ability to assess and resolve complex business problems, issues, and risks to facilitate conflict management, issue resolution, and risk mitigation.
- Ability to assess the impact of new project requirements on existing delivery timelines.
- Experience creating business requirements, project plans, project schedules, and associated project materials.
