As a Senior Analytics Engineer, you play a key role in strengthening our data foundation and enabling teams across BtC NL to make better, faster decisions. Working at the heart of our Data & Analytics organisation, you collaborate with Analytics Translators, Data Scientists and IT engineers to build high-quality datasets, dashboards and analytics products. In this role, you translate stakeholder needs into high-quality datasets and analytics products. You take a central role in improving data architecture and ensuring high standards of data quality through your involvement in the Data Foundation Authority. You are part of a domain team consisting of Analytics Translators, Analytics Engineers and Data Scientists, supported by Data & ML Engineers from IT. You guide junior colleagues and work closely with business stakeholders to ensure our data solutions are adopted and used in daily decision-making.
Your responsibilities
- Model data in Snowflake and develop scalable data pipelines to improve time-to-market.
- Build curated datasets, dashboards and analytical assets - including clear documentation and guidance for end-users.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture, platform patterns and quality standards (Snowflake/Azure).
- Support and mentor junior team members in best practices and development.
- Work with stakeholders across marketing, service and propositions to ensure data products drive value.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SQL?, You are a solution-oriented team player who communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical colleagues. You feel at home in an environment where collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement are key.
You bring:
- 5+ years of experience in (Analytics) Engineering;
- WO degree with a technical or data focus;
- Strong SQL and data modeling skills; experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (Azure);
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, git and code reviews;
- Experience with data visualization tools;
- An interest in the energy transition and in Vattenfall's purpose is considered important;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to translate data into insights that stakeholders can act on.
Benefits & conditions
The height of your salary is based on your education and relevant work experience. The salary for this position ranges from €5700 to €7100 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance, based on 38 hours per week. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive secondary benefits package, the most important components of which are:
- Based on your annual salary: 8% holiday allowance, 4,5% end of year bonus and a profit sharing of up to 3.5% based on the results of Vattenfall Netherlands (RDR).
- NS Business card for commuting or a travel allowance of €0.23 per km up to a maximum of 50 km one way and a home office contribution of €3,05 per day
