Job description
- Operate and engineer Red Hat Enterprise Linux environments (physical & virtual)
- Manage and automate systems using Ansible
- Handle patching and package distribution via Red Hat Satellite
- Perform system hardening, vulnerability management, and troubleshooting
- Contribute to automation, containers, and DevOps initiatives
- Work closely with developers, security, network, and architecture teams
- Participate in continuous improvement of infrastructure and open-source solutions
Requirements
- Strong experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (6.x, 7.x, 8.x) or CentOS
- Minimum 3 years of professional Linux system engineering experience
- Ansible and automation
- Scripting skills (Shell, Ansible Playbooks, Python)
- System hardening and security patching
- Experience in VMware virtualized environments
Nice to Have
- Experience in large enterprise or institutional environments
- SAN technologies, ESX / vCenter
- Hyperconverged platforms (e.g. Nutanix)
- Containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Infrastructure as Code, Cloud / Hybrid Cloud (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of ITIL best practices
- Experience with SLA-based operations and service delivery
