Full-Stack Developer

You'll be a pivotal member of an agile team, taking a leading role in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining Hypernode's service offering. We champion high code quality, relying on automated tests (unit and integration), peer reviews, and following continuous delivery best practices as our standard.

As a member of the team, your responsibilities include:

• Architecture Modelling and Strategic Trade-offs: lead architectural decisions and drive solutions that transition our platform for future growth, performing strategic trade-offs between functional and non-functional requirements.
• Ownership and Continuous Improvement of Design Standards: define and enforce software design standards and patterns to ensure consistency across the Hypernode platform and our API services, while steering refactoring initiatives to modernize the codebase.
• Accountability and Platform Responsibility: take personal responsibility for architectural decisions, technical outcomes (including failures), and leading post-mortems to turn incidents into structural improvements for the hypernode platform.
• Mentorship and Knowledge Transfer: mentor junior/medior developers by clearly communicating the reasoning behind design decisions, lead code reviews, model and document software for learning and posterity.
• System Reliability and Performance Engineering: drive the scaling and stability of our services by measuring and optimizing technical performance, utilizing profiling tools and architectural improvements to handle increasing load and complexity

Our Projects and Collaboration:

• Internal and external APIs and their client libraries.
• The Hypernode Control Panel for managed hosting.
• The Hypernode automation engine.
• Various other web services that are written in Python and Django.

You will collaborate closely with stakeholders across technical, commercial, product, and operational areas, translating business needs into robust infrastructure solutions. Our tech stack Our core stack includes Python, Django, React/Vue, and Debian Linux, but we utilize a variety of other technologies as well. We're constantly evolving our platform, and you'll be expected to actively influence our technical direction, drive architectural decisions, and help shape the tools we use.

Do you have experience in Vue.js?, * Extensive professional experience with Python or Django.

• Professional experience with modern JavaScript (and frameworks like React/Vue).
• Experience with version control workflows (we use Git & GitLab).
• A proven track record of designing, building, and integrating scalable and secure APIs.
• Expertise in browser concepts on a deep level (web vitals, web profiling and page rendering).
• Proven ability to design, architect, and reason about complex systems and interconnected (micro) services.
• Understanding of concepts related to servers and Linux, clusters, domain registration and SSL.
• Able to debug and troubleshoot across the full stack (frontend, backend, server).
• You are willing to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Excellent communication skills (our team language is English).

Nice to have

• Eager to learn about the domains and technologies involved at Hypernode.
• Experience with maintaining public-facing REST API services.
• Bonus points for experience with Typescript and Tailwind.
• Bonus points for experience with Adobe Commerce / Magento / Shopware.
• Knowledge of Scrum.
