Job description
This is a newly created position, established because of the rapid growth and ongoing expansion of our Microsoft 365 program at SEI Sphere. As our M365 practice has grown, we are seeking a Microsoft 365 Architect to lead and own our M365 practice within SEI Sphere. This role offers the opportunity to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade Microsoft 365 solutions while collaborating closely with our 24/7 operations team. The ideal candidate will combine deep technical expertise with strong client-facing communication skills and thrive in a hybrid work environment. Key Responsibilities
Architect solutions across the Microsoft 365 suite of products including OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams (including Teams Calling), Intune, Power Automate, and Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
Drive adoption and configuration of Microsoft Purview for data governance, DLP, and compliance reporting.
Develop governance blueprints, information architecture, and lifecycle management.
Lead tenant-level design decisions (domains, identity, conditional access, security baselines) in partnership with Security Engineering.
Optimize Microsoft 365 licensing models and cost structures for clients; provide licensing guidance during presales.
Serve as a trusted advisor for clients, providing clear communication, roadmaps, and executive-ready documentation.
Collaborate with the 24/7 operations team to ensure service continuity, incident response, and root-cause analysis.
Own the M365 backlog, standards, and best practices; maintain reference architectures and runbooks.
Support presales activities: scoping, solution design, estimates, and proposals for M365 engagements. Qualifications
Deep hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 licensing, security, governance, and compliance frameworks.
Proven experience architecting and implementing enterprise M365 solutions; previous MSP experience highly recommended.
Excellent client-facing communication, consulting, and presentation skills.
Ability to operate in a hybrid environment and manage multiple concurrent projects. Certifications Candidates should possess one or more of the following certifications (or be able to obtain them within a reasonable timeframe):
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102)
Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400) or equivalent (Purview/DLP)
Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate (SC-300)
