Security Architect

Role: Security Architect Location: Remote (occasional travel to client site in the UK and Netherlands) Day Rate: Competitive (Inside IR35) Duration: 6 Months

Security Architect - Contract (Inside IR35) We're looking for an experienced Security Architect to act as a trusted advisor for a major enterprise customer, helping shape their network security strategy, uplift their security posture, and support the design of secure, compliant infrastructure. What you'll be doing:

• Acting as a trusted advisor across all network security topics, providing both strategic and tactical architectural guidance.
• Working closely with leading network security partners (eg, Palo Alto, Zscaler) to strengthen and modernise the customer's security environment.
• Identifying security-related opportunities to enhance the customer's wider technology landscape and advising on next steps.
• Developing and shaping network security strategies including zero-trust models, secure networking (firewalls, VPNs), and NIS2.0 compliance.
• Ensuring all technical proposals and designs are Secure by Design.
• Advising on and reviewing Statements of Work (SOWs) and architectural responses to customer requests.
• Bringing experience of securing manufacturing and OT/IT environments, ensuring robust protection for operational systems.

What we're looking for:

• A seasoned Security Architect with strong network security expertise.
• Deep knowledge of solutions like Palo Alto, Zscaler, and modern security frameworks.
• Strong understanding of zero-trust design, governance, and compliance (including NIS2).
• Experience working with manufacturing customers and securing Operational Technology environments.
