Job description

  • Administer, configure, and support Palo Alto NGFWs (PA-Series / VM-Series)
  • Manage security policy rules, NAT, zones, routing, interfaces, HA, and objects
  • Oversee App-ID / User-ID / Content-ID, URL filtering, Anti-Spyware, Vulnerability profiles
  • Implement SSL decryption policy management and assess related operational impacts
  • Collaborate closely with Network Engineers, Cloud/Platform teams, and Service Owners
  • Support firewall migrations, data centre moves, cloud connectivity, and segmentation initiatives
  • Assist in Zero Trust and least privilege initiatives
  • Integrate with SIEM/SOAR tooling for enhanced security

  • Terraform, We are looking for a skilled Security Administrator with expertise in Palo Alto Networks to support and enhance our security operations. Located in London with a hybrid working model, we are committed to providing a comprehensive, AI-powered SASE solution through Prisma SASE, which is designed to support modern, distributed enterprises. This hands-on role requires collaboration with various teams to ensure secure and resilient network operations across enterprise environments. We value strong documentation skills and clear communication, fostering a team environment that drives robust security outcomes.

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience administering Palo Alto NGFWs in enterprise environments
  • Proven experience with Panorama for centralised policy and device management
  • Understanding of network security principles (segmentation, least privilege, L3/L4/L7 filtering)
  • TCP/IP, routing (BGP/OSPF helpful), NAT, VPN concepts
  • Skilled troubleshooting ability using logs, packet capture, and CLI diagnostics
  • Experience operating within ITIL-style change management and incident processes
  • Strong documentation skills and ability to communicate clearly to technical/non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience with Palo Alto features: GlobalProtect, site-to-site IPsec VPNs, SSL decryption operations (nice to have)
  • Cloud security/networking exposure: Azure/AWS/GCP, cloud-native firewalls, transit networking (nice to have)
  • SIEM integration experience: Splunk/Sentinel/QRadar log forwarding and use-case support (nice to have)
  • Scripting/automation skills: Python, PowerShell, Ansible, PAN-OS API, IaC patterns (nice to have)
  • Experience in regulated environments (finance, healthcare, government, critical infrastructure) (nice to have)
  • Certifications: Palo Alto PCCSA / PCNSA / PCNSE (highly desirable), ITIL Foundation (helpful), Security certs: CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCNP Security (nice to have)
