Job description
We're looking for a passionate Senior Embedded Platform Engineer to join our Embedded Platform team and help build the next generation of multi-camera and high-performance compute products. In this role, you'll design, optimize, and scale systems that push the limits of real-time processing and edge intelligence.
You'll be the go-to expert for electronics, owning our hardware designs and shaping the processes that take ideas from concept to production. Working closely with EMS partners, you'll ensure exceptional product quality at scale, while collaborating with skilled design partners to bring innovative, cutting-edge systems to life. Along the way, you'll create smart software and hardware tools to streamline manufacturing and dive deep into challenging, in-depth firmware development.

Your mission
- Design prototypes for our next generation of products. Oversee prototype fabrication, including performing bring-up, debugging, and rework.
- Maintain the portfolio of Sevensense products and handle change requests and component end-of-life situations. Additionally, collaborate with our EMS partners to ensure smooth production of our products.
- Validate your designs through extensive testing of thermal, vibration, humidity, ESD, EMC, and electrical fault conditions.
- Create test strategies and requirements for testing PCBAs & larger assemblies in production.
Requirements
Do you have experience in Soldering?, Do you have a Master's degree?, * Acquired Electrical Engineering skills through a combination of a Masters degree in (Electrical) Engineering, work experience, or relevant projects.
- Experienced with Altium, KiCAD, Autodesk Fusion/EAGLE or similar CAD programs for schematic capture, PCB design & maintaining component libraries.
- Capable of simulating electric circuits in spice tools like LTSpice or similar.
- Proficient with standard electronic lab tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, soldering irons, etc.
- Knowledge of at least one of the following programming languages: C, C++, Python
- Basic understanding of the regulatory compliance process with industry standards for safety, EMI/EMC, and environmental regulations.
- Responsible and detail-oriented team player who never wants to stop learning with a can-do mindset with the ability to take ownership of projects and drive them to success.
