Job description
- You are creative: Conduct high-quality industrial research in the areas of Generative AI and Large Language Models for sustainable power grids, green energy and related fields
- You are impactful: Develop innovative software solutions, turn them into prototypes and increase their technology readiness towards productization
- You take initiative: Collaborate with a global and interdisciplinary team of researchers and engineers in Hitachi Energy Research and Business Units to identify and solve real-world problems and realize opportunities for further improvements
- You collaborate: Build relationships within the company and actively share your knowledge and expertise. Interact with local and global external partners including universities and vendors
- You communicate: Disseminate your results in technical reports, patent applications, and scientific publications
Requirements
We are looking for a passionate and proficient scientist with expertise in Large Language Models and Generative AI to join our Research Center in Baden/Switzerland. In an interdisciplinary environment, you will drive cutting-edge innovation for different complex systems in power grid applications. Join our dynamic, motivated, and creative team to contribute to a sustainable energy future for all., * PhD degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field
- Proven expertise in GenAI technologies spanning Large Language Models, reasoning methods, and agentic systems, with strong knowledge of relevant algorithms, frameworks, and tools
- Expertise in scalable and high-performance computing
- Good knowledge of the NVIDIA AI/ML SW technology stack
- Strong ability and keen interest in applying AI to real-world industrial applications and business cases related to the energy sector and driving the emerging research in this field toward productization
- Excellent communication skills, team player attitude, initiative, and creativity
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
