Job description

Empowering Learning is currently seeking a highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented Data Manager to join a thriving secondary school in Birmingham. This full-time opportunity plays a key role in supporting senior leadership, teaching staff, and students by ensuring the accurate management, analysis, and reporting of school data.

As a Data Manager, you will work closely with senior leaders and administrative teams to maintain high-quality data systems that support attainment tracking, attendance monitoring, safeguarding, and statutory returns., * Manage and maintain the school's Management Information System (Arbor)

  • Ensure accuracy of student, attendance, assessment, and census data
  • Produce reports for senior leaders, governors, and external agencies
  • Support data collection cycles including progress tracking and exam entries
  • Oversee statutory returns such as census, assessment, and performance data
  • Provide training and support to staff on data systems and processes
  • Work collaboratively with pastoral, safeguarding, and administrative teams

Requirements

Do you have experience in Data analysis skills?, * Proven experience working as a Data Manager or in a school data role

  • Strong working knowledge of Arbor (essential)
  • Experience within a secondary school setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong data analysis skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly with staff at all levels
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
