Job description

We're looking for a Data & Analytics Manager to lead our Business Intelligence and advanced analytics capability, ensuring data becomes a powerful driver of impact across the organisation.

In this pivotal role, you'll manage a team of Analysts and oversee the development of high-quality analytics, reporting, and data visualisation using SQL, Azure, Python and Tableau. You'll act as a data ambassador, championing the value of analytics in a sector ready to elevate its data maturity.

This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll shape our reporting environment, guide stakeholders, and ensure our data strategy supports the business at every level.

What You'll Be Doing

Lead & Deliver Insight

  • Drive the strategic management of analytics projects from initial brief to stakeholder delivery.
  • Conduct hands-on analysis, combining multiple datasets into unified, compelling insights.
  • Create impactful visualisations and dashboards using Tableau.

Manage & Develop the BI Function

  • Lead a team of four Analysts, providing coaching, technical guidance, and performance leadership.
  • Oversee the Tableau environment, ensuring uptime, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance BI processes, data quality, and reporting frameworks.

Partner with Stakeholders

  • Work closely with senior leaders to understand business needs and shape analytical requirements.
  • Translate complex data concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrate the commercial value of analytics in conversations with executives and directors.

Own Data Governance & Output

  • Oversee data usage across the organisation, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and consistency.
  • Define and refine data models to support company-wide reporting.
  • Lead improvements in analytics processes and deliver key business reporting.

Requirements

Do you have experience in Tableau?, This role would suit someone who:

  • Has a genuine passion for BI, data, and turning insight into action.
  • Is a strong communicator and coach, able to simplify complex topics for any audience.
  • Enjoys leading teams and developing individual strengths.
  • Has exceptional attention to detail and a drive to continuously improve data capability.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions., * Experience in data management or analytics leadership roles.
  • Proven experience in people management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Data warehouse design and data governance expertise.
  • Strong background in ETL, data engineering, and data storage solutions.
  • Experience delivering innovative data solutions that drive business impact.
  • End-to-end experience leading data migration projects.
  • Experience with dbt, GCP or BigQuery is a bonus.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL (cloud), SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, SSIS.
  • Expertise in Tableau (or Power BI).
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
