Job description

  • Provide operational support for network security infrastructure
  • Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability
  • Troubleshoot complex networking issues that may involve multiple systems and layers of infrastructure
  • Perform system maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
  • Be involved in the planning, design, and implementation of network security measures to protect systems and data
  • Conduct regular system audits to identify vulnerabilities and ensure compliance with security policies and regulations
  • Deploy and maintain network security devices such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and VPNs
  • Support the resolution of network security incidents, including conducting post-event analyses to prevent future incidents
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, as well as advancements in network security technologies
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures for network access, monitoring, and security incident response

Requirements

  • Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or extensive knowledge of Checkpoint and Cisco Firewalls, and F5 Load Balancers and associated management software (CSM, Checkpoint Smart Console)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in network security or a related field
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, routers, switches, and related network devices
  • Expertise in security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorisation, and security
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make well-informed security decisions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
  • Understanding of ITIL methodologies and best practices
  • LAN/WAN (Cisco CCNA) or 5 years experience
