Job description
As an IT Project Manager, you will lead large-scale international programs and projects, applying best practices and fostering collaboration across diverse teams. You will ensure delivery of high-value, user-friendly solutions within scope, time, and budget, while removing obstacles and driving results. Acting as an in-house consultant, you will challenge assumptions, solve problems, and create value together with your team., * Plan-Driven Project Stages
- Plan, manage, and coordinate execution of major international programs and projects in line with approved business cases.
- Deliver targeted results within agreed time, budget, and quality standards, following Borealis and IT project management guidelines.
- Ensure timely involvement of security and architecture experts.
- Agile Project Stages
- Lead international delivery teams, collaborating closely with Product Owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and subject matter experts.
- Serve as the primary contact for business stakeholders and internal IT teams.
- Support Product Owners in backlog management, user story creation, and agile practices.
- Act as agile mindset ambassador and ensure compliance with Borealis and IT project management standards.
- Involve security and architecture experts as needed.
Requirements
Do you have a Master's degree?, * Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 10-15 years of IT experience, including 10+ years managing medium and large plan-driven or agile projects/programs.
- Broad business process knowledge and proven process improvement skills.
- Strong understanding of IT solutions and expert knowledge of project management methodologies (plan-driven and agile).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and proven facilitation and coaching expertise.
- Actively drive risk, stakeholder and change management.
- Professionalism in managing scope, time line and budget
- Ability to lead international, often virtual, teams toward self-organization.
- Analytical, customer-focused, and results-oriented mindset.
- Fluent in English at a business level.

Should you join us in one of our Austrian locations and according to Austrian law, we offer competitive compensation based on the collective labor agreement, starting at EUR 72.000 annual gross salary (based on 38 hrs/week) and a yearly bonus.
