Job description
We are a large and well-established logistics company operating across Birmingham and West Bromwich, and we are looking for a proactive and capable IT Support Manager to join our team.
This is a hands-on role supporting all IT aspects of the business. Working across multiple operational sites, you will ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and fit for purpose. You will act as the key point of contact for technical issues, deliver high-quality support, and contribute to ongoing improvements within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Provide day-to-day IT support across the business, both on-site and remotely.
· Support and maintain IT infrastructure including servers, networks, and user endpoints.
· Administer and support Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Intune.
· Assist with IT security, device compliance, access management, and best-practice controls.
· Support both standalone applications and business-critical operational systems.
· Troubleshoot and resolve general PC, hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
· Work independently to diagnose complex issues and deliver effective solutions.
· Contribute to process improvements, IT documentation, and wider IT projects.
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT service management?, · Previous experience in an IT support role is highly advantageous.
· Strong problem-solving ability with the confidence to work on your own initiative.
- Good technical understanding of:
- Microsoft Intune & device management
- APIs and system integrations
- SQL databases
- Power BI
- Data analysis & reporting
- Solid knowledge of Windows operating systems and general IT support practices.
- Clear communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users., * A self-motivated individual who takes ownership of issues.
- Methodical, organised, and keen to continue developing your skillset.
- Able to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
- A team player with a proactive and professional approach to support delivery.
