In the Satellite Systems Engineering department we see the space system holistically as a spacecraft or a system including spacecrafts. We provide an interdisciplinary approach and means to enable the realisation of successful space systems. Going from mission analysis to early operations, looking at system performances and security aspects, planning and defining technically the design, verification, qualification and operation of the space system. With about 80 individuals from 14 nationalities in the department we welcome you to join us.
Your Tasks
In this role you will be the driving force ensuring that all system requirements of a spacecraft project related to security and resilience are met and compliant. You will be the interface between customer, subcontractors and internal system architects coordinating all security system activities and offering technical guidance.
Your Tasks:
- Technical coordination of cybersecurity-related tasks with customer, subcontractors and internal technical disciplines
- Flow down of the security requirements to subsystem and equipment level specifications
- Ensure compliance to the security technical requirements
- Support the generation the AIT plans and operation plans
- Support preparation of satellite tests and review of test results with focus on security functions
- Define Test Specifications for Security tests and verification
- Support preparation for launch and flight phases, preparation of launcher interfaces and for operations data
- Contribute to the project risk management for risks of security nature
Requirements
- Degree in engineering, physics or equivalent
- Professional experience in satellite projects, preferably in phases B/C/D
- Good conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Well-developed communication and negotiation skills
- High motivation, pro-active working approach and strong sense of responsibility
- Team-minded and ideally accustomed to work in internationally composed team
- Fluency in both spoken and written English, German language skills are highly desirable
