As a Senior Specialist - SAP ABAP Developer, you will work closely with a diverse global network including SAP Basis, Security, ABAP colleagues, SAP functional teams, Infrastructure, Middleware, and other IT partners. You will also collaborate with and advise the SAP Technical Architect on technical topics and new technologies., As a Senior Specialist - SAP ABAP Developer, you are responsible for designing, developing, customizing, and maintaining SAP applications that support our business processes. You combine technical and functional expertise to ensure SAP solutions align with business needs and enable operational efficiency. You collaborate closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to optimize performance and functionality across the SAP landscape., * Develop ABAP enhancements, interfaces, forms, and reports to support Animal Health process improvements in the SAP Atlas environment;

  • Apply development quality standards and deliver code that is maintainable, performant, secure, robust, and easy to understand;
  • Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset by learning new technologies and deepening your understanding of business processes and SAP architecture;
  • Collaborate closely with development team members and cross-functional teams (functional, infrastructure, middleware, security, change management);
  • Support analysis of technical solutions for business requests and provide effort estimates for development activities;
  • Perform technical testing and support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing with fast and effective issue resolution;
  • Create and maintain technical documentation in accordance with IT policies to support knowledge sharing;
  • Identify and manage risks and issues related to development and deployments, ensuring smooth and successful go-lives;
  • Communicate progress and status updates clearly to relevant stakeholders;
  • Proactively improve ways of working and raise concerns when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of ABAP development experience;
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or any Technology stream;
  • Experience with ABAP Objects, BADIs, IDocs, Web Services, ALV, BRF+, SAPscript/SmartForms/Adobe Forms, Workflow;
  • Experience working with at least three standard SAP modules/solutions;
  • Experience with SAP upgrades;
  • Preferably experience with S/4HANA, Fiori apps, OData services, SAP BTP, Git, SAP Gateway, Solution Manager/ALM;
  • SAP certifications are preferred;
  • Fluent in English., Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Visualization, Enterprise Application Integration (EAI), Operational Acceptance Testing (OAT), Operational Efficiency, Salesforce Data Architecture, SAP Gateway, SAP Solution Manager, Software Configurations, Software Development, Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), System Designs, System Integration, Technical Solutions
