Job description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated IT Manager to join our team. This is a key role responsible for managing the delivery of day-to-day IT services through our outsourced Managed Service Provider (MSP) while also leading IT projects that support our business growth and transformation.
The IT Manager will act as the primary point of contact between the business and our IT partners, ensuring that systems and services are reliable, secure, and aligned with organisational needs. The role offers the opportunity to shape and deliver meaningful IT improvements, working closely with business stakeholders across multiple sites.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage the day-to-day relationship with MSP, ensuring services are delivered to agreed SLAs and KPIs.
- Act as the escalation point for IT issues, coordinating resolution with the MSP and internal stakeholders.
- Lead IT projects from initiation to completion, including scoping, planning, delivery, and handover.
- Partner with business teams to understand IT requirements and translate them into effective solutions.
- Ensure compliance with cyber security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain oversight of IT risk, business continuity, and disaster recovery processes.
- Management of the IT budget including operating and capex cost control, forecasting.
- Maintain and develop the IT governance framework.
- Drive continuous improvement in IT services, systems and user experience.
Requirements
Do you have experience in SharePoint?, * Proven experience managing IT services through a Managed Service Provider or outsourced model.
- Strong track record in leading and delivering IT projects.
- Good knowledge of IT service management principles (ITIL or equivalent).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure including servers, devices and networks.
- Understanding of cyber security, data protection, and compliance requirements.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g. Prince2, Agile).
- Experience with IT vendor management and contract negotiations.
