Job description
This role contributes to a programme that maintains and evolves enterprise content and collaboration platforms, including document management, publishing, workflow, analytics, and emerging AI-enabled capabilities. The objective is to ensure these services remain stable, secure, and fit for purpose while adapting to evolving user needs and technology changes. Work is delivered within a governed service and change framework, emphasizing quality, documentation, testing, and controlled deployment of fixes, enhancements, and improvements across the full application lifecycle., * Administer, configure, and maintain SharePoint Server environments (2013, 2016, 2019, Subscription Edition) supporting the Content Collaboration Capabilities.
- Set up, maintain, and support UAT, DevTest, and reference environments, including Azure DevTestLabs, ensuring consistency with production configurations.
- Automate environment provisioning, configuration, and operational tasks using PowerShell and Microsoft-recommended best practices.
- Manage release management and version control, including CI/CD pipelines, build definitions, and release definitions using Azure DevOps.
- Support the integration and lifecycle management of COTS and third-party components extending SharePoint capabilities.
- Ensure configuration consistency, stability, and documentation of infrastructure and environment changes in line with ITIL v4 and Agile Scrum processes.
- Track and document infrastructure-related bugs, releases, and changes using the Purchaser's ticketing and DevOps systems.
Essential Skills, Experience and Certifications
- SharePoint Server administration (2013, 2016, 2019, Subscription Edition)
- Azure DevTestLabs deployment and configuration
- UAT and DevTest environment setup and maintenance
- PowerShell scripting for SharePoint automation
- Windows Server and SQL Server for SharePoint environments
- COTS integration (third-party tools extending SharePoint)
- Release management and version control
- Azure DevOps (Repos, Boards, Pipelines)
- Microsoft best practices for SharePoint configuration
- Bug documentation and tracking
- ITIL v4 framework knowledge
- Agile Scrum methodology
- Knowledge of Content Collaboration Capabilities
