Job description
You will be responsible for innovation, concept development and productization of Generative AI applications with direct business impact. More specifically, responsibilities in your role includes:
- Lead technical research and development in deep learning and Generative AI projects;
- Formulate technical proposals and conduct research activities related to applied AI across business sectors;
- Provide consultation to stakeholders on technical feasibility, data quality, and models relevant to their issues;
- Innovate and develop novel AI technologies from concept to deployment, focusing on Generative and Agentic AI;
- Transform innovative solutions into commercial value while gathering feedback from end-users;
- Create advanced AI algorithms and integrate emerging technologies into existing applications;
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicate technical findings to a broader audience.
Requirements
- Proficiency in AWS or Azure, comfort in a Unix shell environment (e.g., bash);
- Knowledge in GenAI (Generative AI), VLMs (Vision Language Models), Python, and Data Analysis;
- Demonstrated experience working with (Multi)Agentic AI tech stacks incorporating LLMs and VLMs;
- 3 years experience with PyTorch and TensorFlow;
- Understanding of VAEs (Variational Autoencoders);
Other requirements:
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, theoretical science, statistics, or a related field;
- At least 3 years of theoretical and hands-on experience in deep learning and computer vision;
- Proven track record in generative modeling for computer vision applications (e.g., VAEs, Diffusion Models, Flow Matching);
- Evidence of implementing experimental pipelines and prototyping Generative AI applications using LLMs and VLMs;
- A solid mathematical foundation in areas such as linear algebra, probability, multivariate calculus, geometry, and/or numerical methods;
- Familiarity with lifecycle and data management; experience using Git for model and source code management.
- You are living in the Netherlands and have legal authorization to work in Netherlands on a full-time basis.
Benefits & conditions
A challenging full-time position in Amsterdam (hybrid working is possible) in a vibrant international environment. Salary for this position is between €5500 to €7000, and it comes with an attractive package of secondary benefits which we'll tell you more about in a personal conversation. The project starts immediately and will end on 31 December 2026. Possibility of extension varies per project.
