Job description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator with a strong background in the scrap and recycling industry, including hands-on experience supporting FRED systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, securing, and optimising our IT infrastructure while ensuring reliable operation of industry-specific software used in scale operations, inventory, trading and accounting.

This role is critical to keeping our yards and back-office systems running smoothly and securely.

  • Performs daily monitoring and maintenance of FRED system data
  • Manage user accounts and permissions
  • Provides training and ongoing support to staff to ensure effective system use
  • Troubleshoot issues across multiple locations
  • Support integration of FRED system
  • Ensure compliance with company security policies and industry best practices
  • Document system configurations, procedures and troubleshooting steps, * Do you have hands-on experience supporting FRED systems in a scrap or recycling environment?

Requirements

Do you have experience in System administration?, * Proven experience as a Systems Administrator

  • Hands-on experience with FRED systems in a scrap or recycling environment
  • Experience supporting scale systems and yard software
  • Ability to troubleshoot under time-sensitive operational conditions
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Experience supporting scale systems, weighbridge systems, and yard software
  • Strong knowledge of stock control processes and inventory management systems, * This role requires regular nationwide travel to our sites. Are you able and willing to travel as required?, * System administration: 1 year (required)
